Being without a purpose
without the whole world at your feet.

Forgiving and not forgetting
forgetting what you have forgiven.

Sex, alcohol, prayers give you no solace,
but why do you need solace in the first place?
How can words still hurt
when you consider yourself a free human being?

That's because you have a purpose
even when you say you don't.

Your fears, paranoias and obsessions are still there
even when you say you don't,
but when you try to understand those brief moments when you feel alive
and when you really try to make them last
that is when things start to get better
for some time.

Once you know how to make things right
forget it again, forget and forgive.

Did those words hurt you?
Are you afraid you will lose it all?

That's good, because that is exactly what happened
and what will happen to all of us.

You have to understand that when someone tries to drag you down
they are already down themselves.

No, that doesn't mean you have to save them,
because they only can save themselves.
That means you have to recognise they are hurt
and that they want to hurt you,
nothing more,
nothing less.

You have to let some people go
pray for them
ignore them.

Always speak frankly
always be kind
do everything you do with loving kindness
and you will be your own king
even when no one's listening.
